To enjoy a general overview of the island´s gastronomic history and current delicious offerings, an example of some the most recommended attractions would be the following museums and locations: the Cheese House; the Wine House Museum; the Rum Museum; the Banana Museum; the Salt Museum; the Finca Los Berrazales or the Gofio Museum. In these locations, you can get a wonderful insight into the rich gastronomic and cultural heritage of Gran Canaria.

Furthermore, in recent years, wine tourism has been greatly promoted and developed, recovering important vineyards and wineries on the island, where tastings can be held, and wine can be enjoyed and tasted in the same place where it is made. In the 21 municipalities of the island, you will find excellent restaurants, where you can taste typical Canarian dishes. Many of the restaurants are renowned for their important and distinguished awards, some restaurants indeed with a Michelin Star.

Our main dishes, which you cannot miss, are: Watercress Stew; Canario Ranch; Sancocho; “Tollos” in sauce; “Viaja” fish grilled or stewed; Potatoes with mojo; Stewed gofio; Potatoes, pineapples and ribs; “Ropa Vieja”; Goat or rabbit meat in salmorejo.
